Una de esas pelis que muy pocos veréis pero los que lo hagan descubrirán una auténtica joya que ayudó a dar nombre y renovar el género del terror hacia un estilo más psicológico, sutil y asfixiante en lugar de la violencia plagada de sustos monstruosos que venía siendo hasta entonces.

Una institutriz es contratada para cuidar de unos niños tras la misteriosa muerte de su antecesora.

Al poco tiempo de llegar a la casa comienzan a ocurrir cosas extrañas hasta que, por fin, conoce las misteriosas circunstancias que envuelven el pasado de ese lugar.

Cine clásico del bueno. Terror psicológico en mayúsculas para una película con un montaje y un final muy osados para la época.

This is one of that movies which has created a new kind of horror more sofisticated and fine in contrast to the ancient violent genre full of monsters and shocks.

A young governess is called to take care of a couple of kids due to the sudden death of the previous one.

After some days in the old mansion, strange things happens and this new girl discovers the dark past of the place.

Nice classic movie. Fine psychological horror and a daring edit with a shock endind. Must-see-movie.
