El luchador es la historia de una estrella de lucha libre venida a menos. Ahora que su tiempo ha pasado, intenta realzar su carrera luchando en peleas cutres de poca monta mientras trata de conquistar el amor perdido de su hija.

Es un drama que muestra la decadencia de una persona que fue algo y ya no lo es. Una especie de "Toro salvaje" moderna. Es interesante también por mostrar todos los entresijos del mundo teatralizado de la lucha libre.

Drama dignísimo del siempre interesante Darren Aronofsky [Pi, Réquiem por un sueño, La fuente de la vida, Cisne negro...]

The wrestler is a story about an old fighter star who has become an unknown loser. He tries to revive his career fighting against other bad ass in third class combats and He also wants recover the love of his daughter who is away of his life.

 This is a drama which shows the decay of a person who has a shinning past and a sad present. This movie it's a kind of modern "Rising bull". Another interesting aspect it's the reality that it shows about the wrestling universe where everything is a huge lie.

 Very respectable drama by my beloved Darren Aronofsky [Pi, Requiem for a dream; The fountain; Black sawn...]
